Wow Check out the new Layout of AdsMallorca!

Lots of things just slipping into place this week, totally unexpected but really for the better.  You know when you have something that is not quite right and you are not totally sure how to change it without messing it all up?  Yes I was there this week.  I had AdsMallorca thriving on Google and increasing every day with visits, unbelievable hits and yet something was not quite what I wanted – it was too, for want of a better word, playful, not serious enough.

Several months ago I had found the perfect template for AdsMallorca, but unfortunately it did not have all of the settings that I would have liked for the advertising possibilities of our clients so I had been dithering about setting it up, testing it on other sites and really not getting any further with it on AdsMallorca.  Then disaster!  Luckily I had put a warning up on the forum that I was going to be updating software and that there might be difficulties accessing the site.  Little did I realise at the time the problems that were going to appear before me!

Once again I was toying with the idea of this new template which would enable me to add photos of Mallorca in the header advertising how beautiful it is but I was still undecided.  So I was trying it out on another test and without even thinking copied files over from AdsMallorca only to find my totally set up advertising site for Mallorca was suddenly there using a basic template and looking awful.

I closed the site down for ‘improvement’.  I could not believe it – I felt as if I had been put into the position of having to set up this new template – of course I could have just backed everything up and it would have remained as it was.

Just under two hours later I had a fully functioning AdsMallorca – the advertising website for Mallorca – without the advertising banners but everything else working beautifully.  The next day I improvised with resizing and repositioning all of the banner advertising so that it fitted in with this template and I have to say I am much happier with the whole look of the site.

Ok we are still up there with the established companies!

Yes as far as advertising businesses in mallorca is concerned we are up there at the top on page one of Google, now I am working on getting on page one for a few other things, oh and we are on page one for free ads mallorca and DIY Mallorca or Do it yourself Mallorca. I am adding information relevant to Mallorca everyday, we are working towards page one on a few different topics in the very near future.

We are also thinking of adding an SEO service – i.e. an advice service for those of you struggling to get your websites up there on google – will keep you updated with this!!

This is short and sweet as it is the weekend and I would like to enjoy the rest of mine – have a brilliant weekend and an incredible future.

I can’t do this anymore! It is so boring!

Ok I cannot write another thing about advertising today, it is so boring.  I realise that everyone needs to advertise and I have created the perfect place for them to do this if they live in Mallorca or want to advertise to those people living there.  So my thinking was, create a blog relevant to my website and it will bring it all together.  I have to say it has done and I have page one ads on google in fact because of this fabulous blog I have sometimes had two to four ads on google page one, from my website and from this blog.  So in one way I suppose I am doing the right thing but I am going to have to think of a far less boring way to do it.

Being the sort of person who, although extremely well organized, has a head like a sieve, it is quite difficult to have a plan of action i.e. make decisions about the sort of topic I should write about from day to day.  Well, you know what I mean, decide on a Monday, which I did do, to advertise those who advertise on my website, and yesterday I nearly forgot so you see I have to plan my way around things so that it gets done a little more haphazardly, but it gets done and I don’t think I have missed my deadline again.

So what have I been writing about over the past month and a half?  Advertising, advertising and advertising again. Why have I been writing about this?  Because (and you really shouldn’t start a sentence with that) my website is an opportunity for businesses to advertise online and get the best value for money in Mallorca.  I have so many page one ads on Google it blows my mind, but still they hover on the side waiting to see which way AdsMallorca is going.  Well as I am now up with the big boys – the well established advertising agencies in Mallorca – that is exactly where I am staying – so Mallorca get ready to advertise where you are going to be seen and that is AdsMallorca.
